Procreate runs under Apple's iOS. GIMP runs on a computer under several OSes (Operating Systems) including Linux.
I, Allen Papapetrou, run GIMP under Linux Mint and Procreate on an iPad Pro. This topic describes how to copy files to and from the two.
Assume:
1 We use Image Size of 1920x1080
2 We use PSD (Photoshop) image files to exchange between GIMP and Procreate
3 We start in GIMP with this jpeg image of a Hawai'ian Woman

4 We edit this and export it to a PSD file

5 We use this image throughout this instructional

1 On Linux: Save Image to iCloud Drive

    1 Sign into iCloud via Firefox on Linux Box
    2 Select iCloud Drive
    3 Drag and drop image.psd file to iCloud Drive
1 Sign into iCloud.com via Firefox on Linux Box using your email of name@me.com and your Apple Store/iCloud password..

3 Drag and drop image.psd file to iCloud Drive. When progress bar, under psd, completes and disappears image.psd has been uploaded to iCloud Drive..

    2 Select Import then from Browse Locations select iCloud Drive
    3 Tap image file in iCloud Drive to Import into Procreate's Gallery
    4 Tap the image to Edit the imported image
    5 Edit the image

2 Procreate opens to its Gallery.. Tap Import to retrieve image.psd from iCloud

    1 Open Procreate to Gallery, if required, and tap Select
    2 Select:
      1 Select the Image
      2 Share as PSD Image Format
    3 Share Starts an Export Process
    4 Share Asks Where to Save the Image. Choose Save to Files
    5 Select iCloud Drive then Add
    6 After the Add process completes to iCloud Drive - Success
    7 Open iCloud Drive to verify PSD image.file
    8 Return to GIMP box to retrieve PSD image file
1 Open Procreate to Gallery, if required, and tap Select

    2 Share as PSD Image Format

4 On Linux: Retrieve image from iCloud Drive for GIMP Editing

    1 Open iCloud Drive in Firefox
    2 Select the PSD image file and begin the Firefox Download
    3 A large Arrow overlays the Download Arrow until the Download Completes
    4 Firefox Download is complete to Download Folder
    5 Open the Download folder and start copy to GIMP PSD folder
    6 Open the GIMP PSD folder and Paste the image file
    7 Replace the existing PSD image file - if required
1 Open iCloud Drive in Firefox

Double Clicking the image file in GIMPs PSD folder opened GIMP for editing the image

Head back to iCloud in Firefox and repeat the process as desired
